What is a Physician Assistant?
A Physician Assistant is a medical professional who practices medicine in collaboration with physicians. PAs are extensively trained health care providers who receive a master’s degree and are certified to practice medicine. PAs are valuable members of the health care team who can conduct physical exams, diagnose patients, order and interpret lab tests, write prescriptions, and formulate treatment plans. Often, PAs serve as a patient’s primary healthcare provider. PAs work in all areas of healthcare, including pediatrics. Rachael comes with six years of experience exclusively in the pediatric outpatient setting. She is able to establish continuity of care with patient families as the sole provider and in collaboration with Dr. Dudley.
