To Our Dearest Wildflower Pediatrics Families,
As you may have already noticed, we are experiencing an unprecedented sick season
for our patients. We are seeing everything…… flu, RSV, strep, COVID, bronchiolitis, ear
infections, pneumonia, and recurrent viral infections. As a result, the phone calls and
patient visits have skyrocketed. We are doing our best to maintain the same response
time and ability to offer same day sick visits as best we can. All of our staff are working
tirelessly, and we want you to know that we care about every patient visit and phone
call that comes through. The last thing we desire is to refer you to an urgent care
because we are full for the day. Thus far, we have not had to resort to this option. We
have a nurse that can triage any issues via phone and give advice even if it means we
have to see you the next day. It may take longer than the typical 15 minutes for a call
back, but we ask that you have patience as we answer phones and return all voice
mails. We also ask that you have patience upon check in and check out at our front
desk. We are hiring new staff as we speak and are hopeful for some new additions to
join our work family soon.
Please remember you can contact the on call provider and nurse when our office is
closed at 877-726-9013. St. David’s Children’s Hospital also provides a nursing line
around the clock at no charge. That number is 844-533-5437 (KIDS).
Hug a health care worker the next time you see one!!
