Full Time Pediatric LVN
Wildflower Pediatrics is looking for a highly professional, experienced pediatric LVN/CMA who desires long-lasting relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.

This is a position that requires a high level of responsibility and frequent multi-tasking. Mastering Athena EMR is a requirement and any experience with Athena is a plus for applicable candidates. Salary will be dependent on credentials and experience ($18-$20/hr for CMA and $21-$23/hr for LVN). Although we have a defined list of job duties for this position (see below), our staff also anticipates each other’s needs and is always willing to assist within their scope of practice. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working as an LVN or CMA in a PEDIATRIC medical out-patient clinic. Candidates must also hold a valid, current Texas LVN license or medical assistant certification along with a current Class C CPR course completion.

Job Type: Full Time 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday (No weekend hours)
Receive training and implement EMR (Athena) for patient management from check in to completion of care
Rooming patients, maintaining flow of patient check-in, and following established protocols, policies and procedures
Interview/triage patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and record information on patients’ charts within EMR. This includes well visits, sick visits, nurse visits for vaccines, or behavioral consults.
Collect and perform basic labs including urine analysis, flu tests, respiratory syncytial virus tests, rapid strep tests, stool guaiac tests, culture collections for lab pick up, newborn screens (via heel stick) and complete blood cell counts (via finger stick)
CBC machine maintenance, cleaning, and proficiency testing
Patient vaccine administration (newborns – age 19 years old) including preparing vaccines, documenting date and lot numbers in the chart, tracking supply and ordering vaccines from multiple vendors
Tracking lab and medical supplies and ordering from multiple vendors
Scanning incoming patient records and consult notes into patient charts in EMR system
Faxing patient medical information to specialists
Prepare and clean rooms for examination of patients
Informing patients and families of normal lab or radiology results
Assisting with answering phones, taking messages, returning patient phone calls, and medical phone triage
